Store Features

Every EconoStore has the following features (Additional features may be added per request):

• Add/Edit/Delete Store Items
  Browse to images from your digital camera or any source and upload. Adding, Editing or Deleting items in your store is as easy as typing information and hitting submit.
• Instant Updating of Product Information
  Once a product's information has been entered into the database, the product image and all information related to it can quickly and easily be updated at any time. Simply make the changes and hit submit.
• Automatic Thumnailing
  When you upload a product photo to your database, a thumbnail (small image for previewing) for the product is automatically created.
• Automatic Resizing
  When you upload a product photo to you database, the image is automatically resized to the correct size for viewing by visitors.
• Discount Login
  This great module allows you to issue passwords to wholesalers, non-profit organizations, preferred customers, etc. so that they can receive special discounts on anything in your Econostore. It can also be used to run time-limited sales through your store. Features of the Discount Login:
  1. Unlimited Discount Members. Any number of members may be entered in the Login module's backend.
  2. Different percentages to different people. A wholesaler could get 40% discount, for instance, while preferred customers could receive a 10% discount.
  3. Smart Pricing. Once logged in, each discount member sees the prices according to his/her discount. Several different members could be shopping in your Econostore simultaneously, and each member would see a different set of prices.
  4. Does not interrupt regular retail ordering. Site visitors that are not logged in as Discount Members would see the regular retail prices for store items.
  5. Time-limited Sales. This is a great module for running time-limited sales. Just email out a sales notice to friends, sales leads, former customers, etc.—anyone to whom you want to offer a discount. Include a password that gives them access on a time-limted basis. Once the sale is over, you can remove the password.
• Online Photo Crop Tool
  Your product entry form contains a photo crop tool. Photos may be cropped during the upload process or later on.
• Change Image
  Changing the image for a product is easy. Simply browse to the new image and hit upload. A new thumbnail is automatically created, and the new image is resized.
• Create New Thumbnail
  If a product had been entered and you crop it later on, you can create a new thumbnail from the cropped image.
• Change Category
  If you wish to change a product's category, simply select the new category from the dropdown menu in the product entry form and hit submit.
• Options
  Options may be included for any product. In an EconoStore, you can specify different types of options to satisfy just about every circumstance. The possible types of options are as follows:
  1. Options that change price (example: size - small $8.95, medium $11.95, large $14.95. Customer will select price from a dropdown menu.)
  2. Options that do not change price (example: color - red, blue, green).
  3. Information supplied by the customer (example: information for custom work such as jewelry engraving, embroidery of names on apparel or custom fitting of any merchandise).
• Special Items Featured on Home Page
  If you have special items that you wish your visitors to see before anything else, those items can be featured on the home page. On the product entry form, simply click 'feature on home page'. The item will automatically be featured on the home page.
• Search Box
  All pages on your EconoStore contain a search box. Visitors may enter a keyword or phrase to find a particular product. When inputting data for each of your store's items, you have the option of entering keywords associated with that product. The search function will search the product title, the product desription and any keywords you enter. Advanced Search allows visitors to search by (1) any of the keywords, (2) all of the keywords or (3) by category.
• Keyword Insertion for Search Function
  In addition to the Product Title and Description, you may include keywords for each product. Keywords may be used in the search function to help site visitors find a product.
• Publish Feature
  To Publish means that an item is available for viewing by site visitors. If you are temporarily out of an item, you can turn off publishing for that item. This does not remove the item from the database, it only makes it unavailable for viewing. The item can be turned on again at any time.
• Add/Edit/Delete Categories
  When you add a category, a link to that category is instantly placed in the category menu in the lefthand column of your store's pages. If you remove the category, the link will disappear. The category name can be edited at any time.
• Custom Frame Sets
  In addition to the included shadow frames around product images and thumbnails, you can create additional frame sets as frames around all product images and thumbnails in you EconoStore™. (Requires familiarity with image creation software. Consult your tech representative if you wish to create a frame set.)
• Mailing List Form (Optional)
  The main pages of your EconoStore contain a mailing list form so that you can compile a list of email addresses from your site visitors. Use this list to do emailings of special offers, notices of new products, site changes, etc.
• Automatic Dating
  Your EconoStore automatically displays the current date and day of the week near the top of all pages. This helps to give visitors to your site the impression that you are proactive and that you are involved in keeping your store current.
• Import Multiple Image Files
  You may upload a .zip file containing multiple images and automatically import them into a specific category. This can be very handy when you are working with large numbers of images. The configuration file allows 25 images to be automatically thumbnailed. If your zip file contains more than 25 images, the remaining images will be imported but no thumbnails will be created.
